Trulli relieved nobody was injured

Toyota’s Jarno Trulli has declared his relief at Robert Kubica’s welfare after minor contact between the two in the Canadian Grand Prix resulted in a horrific crash for the Polish BMW driver.
“I was shocked about the violence of the accident and very concerned because I had no information,” said the Italian
“I just want to say how delighted I am that Robert Kubica is not badly injured,” he said.
Trulli told journalists that the racing incident on lap 27 was caused when a faster Kubica attempted to sweep around Trulli and connected with the back of the Toyota, launching the BMW into the wall at well over 200 kp/h.
“The last time I saw him in my mirrors he was on that side, then I just got hit at the back and I have no idea what happened, “said Trulli, “I saw the medical car out for a long period and I was very concerned.”
Trulli continued on however, but retired with 12 laps to go with an accident of his own, albeit a far less spectacular one as Kubica’s.
“I had to make another stop later on and when I came back out I just lost concentration and drove straight into the wall at Turn 1,” confessed Trulli.
“Honestly, I was really glad that it was all over. It doesn't really matter how it went for me, all that matters is that nobody was seriously injured.”
Nobody, except perhaps the poor beaver collected by Anthony Davidson.
