Ralf Schumacher is still searching for a race seat for next season, his manager Hans Mahr revealed yesterday.
The German hopes to remain with Toyota for another season, however with an unconvincing display so far this season, Schumacher’s options are limited.
German Bild newspaper reported that the 32-year-old had looked to former BMW colleague, Gerhard Berger, for a possible seat at Scuderia Toro Rosso next year, however the announcement that Sebastian Vettel and Sebastien Bourdais will occupy the seats has left Schumacher without a back up.
Apparently referring to the Toro Rosso seat, Schumacher was quoted in the Bild saying, “Certain promises were not kept.”
His manager Hans Mahr is currently negotiating with Toyota, but he has not ruled out other options.
“”We have some possibilities, but our priority is still Toyota. This topic will still take some time," Mahr said.
