DC reveals battle with bulimia

Red Bull Racing’s veteran racer, David Coulthard has revealed he struggled with an eating disorder as a teenager.
The 36-year-old divulged the revelation in a new autobiography, where he openly admitted to taking extreme measures to control his weight as a young racing driver.
"I stopped eating fattening food and, before I knew what had happened, I was bulimic,” said the Scot.
"In my mind the only way I could keep my weight down was by making myself vomit.“
Coulthard blamed his problem on his utter determination to gain a competitive advantage by weighing less than his competitors.
"At first I was just very, very lean. I became skin and bone, but I weighed myself every morning, noon and night - in the evening if I was half a pound heavier, I'd get in the pool and swim," he said.
Coulthard's surprising confession was welcomed by the eating disorder charity Beat.
"Hopefully, this will help reduce the stigma attached to suffering from an eating disorder," a spokeswoman told the Scotsman newspaper.
