Berger pleased with Vettel

Toro Rosso co-owner, Gerhard Berger praised newcomer Sebastian Vettel for his positive effect on the team, saying it's nice to have a driver who is "happy with what he gets."
Vettel joined the team only weeks ago, after Scott Speed fell out with Berger’s colleague, Franz Tost, leaving a vacancy at the Faenza-based team.
The highly rated 19-year-old was previously BMW’s third driver, and made his F1 debut in June when he replaced the injured Robert Kubica at the US Grand Prix impressing all when he became the youngest ever points scorer with eighth place.
Vettel, who was already contracted to Red Bull, has impressed his new Austrian boss so far.
"We have a good atmosphere here now we have Sebastian here with Tonio (Liuzzi)," Berger told Autosport. "With Tonio the atmosphere is fine, and things have changed completely. Everything is perfect.”
"If you go over to the pits everything is fine, so I think the move to Vettel did very well for team,” he added.
Vettel has already been confirmed to race with Toro Rosso next season, alongside Champcar champion, Sebastien Bourdais.
Current driver, Tonio Liuzzi, who is without a contract for 2008, was not as liberal with compliment, however, and after outpacing his new teammate the last two Grands Prix, the Italian deduced Vettel was “nothing special”, a label he also used to describe Bourdais.
However, following the drama surrounding Speed’s departure, and Liuzzi’s outspoken discomfort within the team, Berger said: "It is nice to have a driver who is happy with what he gets”.
“We are Toro Rosso. There is no secret that we cannot give the same as Ferrari, McLaren or Renault would give, so everybody that enters our team cannot come with an expectation that he gets onto a level of Ferrari. It just doesn't work,” he continued.
"But it doesn't need a lot of brain to understand this. With Sebastian he is very happy. He sees it as a first stage in his career and it helps us very much. We need people to understand that we have some weaknesses in the team."
