Formula 1 - July 2006

Your text goes hereFerrari again making it to the top of the podium in the French Grand Prix which wasn’t that much of an action packed as was the last United States Grand Prix. Bridgestone tyre proved that the didn’t have any supremacy over the Michelin but they are simply the king of the kings on any damn surface you can make them race. The Japanese tyre company had made hard efforts to make the best out of what they have in themselves. Ferrari closing down the lead in the titles championship with 21 points difference in the points. And Schumi with an 18 point difference. Renault is having some funny troubles with its team no ones what is it but they are clearly having a trouble getting along… I think the decision of Alonso to shift to Mclaren was the turning point. But they are at the top even this year but you cant say anything about the Ferrari team after all it’s the Ferrari.
Another big blow is the Montoya is shifting to NASCAR …. Ehh!!!!! from F1 well its his choice but he was the Mclaren teams bad luck magent for last year and half this year too. Nothing wrong in leaving but half way through the season. Kinda stupid… But good news for Pedro De La Rosa who is currently taking speed rounds at the German circuit. Has Mclaren found the long lasting 2nd good driver in him.. What is the line up ….. you never know but all of us are eagerly waiting for it.
The French win made Schumi his 150th win … he is on a way for a record which is going to take a long long time to change and probably need Schumi’s son to break it

Ferrari 1-2 in Indy

July 8th 2006 18:04
The long wait for Massa and the fans for Ferrari took place at last with the Ferrari being 1-2 at Indianapolis. The Grand Prix was as exciting as it could get, you can call it derby or you can call it a bad luck for the 13 drivers which went out and couldn’t finish the race. But it seemed the same as last years grand prix with the Ferrari 1-2 but this time it was filled with action. Massa charged from Turn 1 but the action had begun in the mid part of the traffic. Montoya’s machine made contact with his team mates car on his back and then he made contact with Button’s Honda which in turn made contact with Nick’s BMW Sauber which lead to the end of the race for these four cars but the action was not enough Speed, Webber, Klien and Montagny made conatc with each other and they lost the race even before they could make it to the end of the first lap. But all this was apart Schmi and Massa had only the podium in their mind and nothing else. Too bad for the fans in America as their boy Speed couldn’t manage to the finish line. Masa who had the lead only until lap 30 when Schumi pitted and he then took the lead and he never looked back he lead his way with Massa behind him. The reds had the advantage of Bridgestone tires over the Renault’s Michelin didn’t seem to give much promise as they got older in the race. Alonso didn’t seem to be having a good time at all as his team mate over took him and then he never could catch up and he also gave up to Trulli who started the race from 22nd place. The race had already only 14 drivers and then the spinning of Sato and his car made it 14 Tiago’s Midland had body work damage and resulted him also getting out of the 500 mile race. Rubens tried harder and harder for his position but couldn’t get any closer to Alonso’s Renault even when he was on a lighter fuel than Alonso. David’s Red Bull and the Torro Rosso driven by Liuzzi had a fight but the experience and the pit stop strategy of Red Bull saw the Scot clear for the seventh place. Jr. Schumi retirement saw Liuzzi get his first point in the 2006 season. Villeneuve saw his retirement due to a engine failure and Albers made several pit stops before having a mechanical problem. So at the end of the dramatic race we saw only 9 cars at the finishing line.

Schumi looked very confident of winning the title back from the Spanish this year. But we shall wait and watch for the results of the French Grand Prix
